In spite of the implemented policies for the prevention of the dangers of alcohol consumption during the pregnancy, many pregnant women still carry on drinking. It thus seemed important to review the state of the knowledge and the opinions of the women concerned to understand how they see the risks of alcohol consumption during pregnancy and the way they perceive the messages which are intended to them.
A qualitative approach based on discussions with forty two pregnant women, exchanging on three internet chat groups during 2007 was used to answer questions of interest for our study.
